Builder partnerships

Documentation expectations

Clear, complete, and consistent documentation helps lenders evaluate the buyer, builder, property, budget, timeline, and financing structure without avoidable delays.

Know what may be requested

Depending on the program, lenders may request plans, specifications, contracts, change orders, permits, budgets, draw schedules, insurance, builder licensing, experience, financial information, and property documentation. Buyers must also provide the income, asset, credit, employment, and other records required for their loan.

Organizing these items early—and keeping project documents consistent as the build changes—can reduce repeated questions and protect momentum.
